Loan is Gone.

I would like to officially announce that we are totally and completely debt free now. We have paid off our student loans, and even did so before our 6 month grace period was over, so we didn't pay one penny in interest! To celebrate, we will go out to eat tonight. You should go out to eat to celebrate too.

Experiment Results

I know you have long been awaiting to hear my results of my experiment. . My fears have been confirmed. My top two pages being hit are Pantless Women and Shirtless Women, in that order. Now I don't know what to do. Maybe I will block my site from being able to be googled. Here are some of the words people typed into Google that brought up my page: pantless girls shirtless women jordan pantless big butts in pantless pantless women shirts The list goes on.

Tender Mercy

I work in a call center. This means that I talk on the phone a lot. Most of these phone conversations last a few seconds, some last 3-5 minutes, and a few last 30 minutes to an hour...you know those people who just have a lot to say. So I have always had this fear hidden in the back of my head, of what would I do if I had to go to the bathroom, but decided to take one more call before doing so. And then that call turned out to be a doozy and take a really long time, and I had to go really bad and started bouncing up and down in my seat...what would I do? Would I ask the person if I could put them on hold while I went to the bathroom? Or would I just say I had to look into the situation deeper and put them on hold while I run to the bathroom? AUGH, I don't know what I would do!!!! Well the other day I had a very close call with this very fear. I took a supervisor call, (since I'm a supervisor, most the calls I take now are supervisor calls, which means they last longer than norm...

Pasta Woes

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. This is the THIRD time this has happened to me. And it all started after I married Jarom. When Jarom cooks pasta, and it is done, instead of pouring it into a strainer and then back into the pan or wherever else you need to put it, he just uses the lid to hold the pasta in the pan and lets the water pour out. That way there is one less dish getting dirtied, and it just works. So I have tried to pick up this habit. After last night I think I have officially given up. Here's how it goes down for me. I hold the pan at a strategic angle with one hand, and hold the lid with my other hand, letting the water pour out. I think to myself, "wow, this is working nicely." But then, my hand holding the pan always gets tired and can't hold the pan anymore. So I put it down to rest a bit. Then I either pick it up with my other hand, causing my hands to be criss crossed, or just get more desparate when I pick it up and start moving the lid back and for...

A Sign of Spending Too Much Time at Work

Last night I started to pray over our dinner. I had just finished telling Jarom about my day at work. I then started to concentrate on what to say for the prayer, and I said "Independ.... Uh, I mean.." Jarom cuts in at this time with "Don't worry, I'll say it." (cough cough, giggle) This is not the first time this has happened to me.

Oh yeah, And...

I forgot to mention one more story that is definitely worth mentioning about bad drivers here. Not too long ago, we were sitting at a red light, as always seems to be the case. On the opposite side of the intersection, our oncoming traffic, there was a car in the left turn lane. When her light turned green, she creeped out for a little bit, and then thought better of her original decision to turn left, so she turned right. Yes. She turned RIGHT, from the LEFT turn lane. That mean she cut across two lanes of traffic to make her right turn. WHAT?!?! You can't just do that! You can't just do whatever you want!!! That being said, I also need to make a clarification about my drawing from the last post. It is important to see that ALL THREE cars on my side of the road are stopped BEFORE the turning car starts to turn. It was wide open and all three had given their permission for that car to turn. It wasn't until after the car started turning, that the middle red car decided, Nev...

Horrible Utah Drivers

Over the past few months we have become increasingly aware of how horrible most of the drivers are around here. I've gotten to the point where everyday I fear for my life everyday and am amazed that I make it home unscathed. I think the drivers here are so bad because they are not only aggressive, but also oblivious. They act as if they are the only car on the road. So here are a few examples: 1. Just two nights ago we witnessed a car accident. We were stopped at a red light, and then the perpendicular street to us got the green. Everyone started going, including the person in the left turn lane who is supposed to yeild to oncoming traffic. And so he hit the first person who came through the light. Right in front of us. Then they stayed there for a few minutes, while all the rest of traffic just kept on going around them. Not one person stopped for them to be able to move and get out of the middle of the intersection! I was just waiting for another accident to happen. Luckily noth...

FedEx, Deadlines, and Work

It’s been a long time since I’ve written on here because I couldn’t think of anything to talk about. So I have to make up for lost time by writing a really long post. Not really, it’s just that I dealt with the same lady at work today for 4 hours, so naturally the story is going to be long. So the student has her grad school deadline coming up, in two days. This Friday. She signed up for a Geology 101 course on Feb 24th, last week. Looking in her course, she had previously taken this course last year, but let it expire before finishing it and now has to finish it, in a week, for her grad school deadline. She called in today to have us mail out the final exam express so it would get there tomorrow, so she could take it, and get it back to us on Friday. The problem is, she has about 20 lessons left that she hasn't submitted yet, and she took both midterms yesterday, so they're not back in our office yet. Which, all of that stuff is supposed to be done and in before we ever mail o...
