Milestone

Yesterday was a historic day for Jarom and I. It is a day we have been looking forward to for the last few months. We've been waiting for it, wondering if it was actually going to happen, hoping it would happen, and yesterday...it happened. Yesterday, our little car hit 250,000 miles. We have a quarter of a million miles on our car, and it is still running strong! Go car!

Take That Punk!

Yesterday after school we had a few students come into the SAC to pick up their cell phones that had been taken away from them during the day. (If we see it, we take it, and they don't get it back until the end of the day.)  However, if this is the second time they've had their phone taken (for the entire year), we don't give it back to them until a parent comes in and signs for it. In comes choice student named The Punk to get his phone. I told him it was his second time, and like what we told him would happen last time he got it taken away, he's not getting it until his parent is there. He proceeds to argue and complain and whine whine whine.  He tries to work his way around the situation, coming up with any excuse that would let us give it to him. "It's the weekend and they can't come till MONDAY!"  Too bad. "My mom is in Sundance and my dad is somewhere else far away!" So sorry. And on and on it went. So I told him he should use...

It's been a long time coming

So I have been kind of searching for a cheaper smaller digital keyboard piano for awhile, thinking it would be really nice to be able to practice my songs for choir at home instead of driving to the church. Then my choir director gave me a couple of RIDICULOUSLY hard songs that I'm still not sure if I'm going to be able to pull off. But these made me REALLY want my own piano so I could and would practice them every day for a CHANCE of being able to get them down. I knew if I had to keep driving to the church I would only do it once, maybe twice a week and that just wouldn't cut it for these songs. So............ I found a good deal yesterday, and now this belongs to me! YYYAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my own piano!

Midway Utah Has a Tourist Spot!

If you are like I was a week ago, you have no idea where Midway, Utah even is, let alone why anyone would choose to drive there for a weekend activity. Now I will enlighten you, and you can be like I am now; full of knowledge about one tourist spot worth seeing in Midway Utah. The Ice Castles! So unfortunately for you, yesterday was the last day of the season this was open, but hopefully for you it will open back up again next year! The guy who made these is just finding a way to pay for his kids' missions and weddings, and having some fun doing it. They were pretty awesome I thought.
