Exactly this time last year, I announced we had gotten a new car. Well, why not make this a yearly tradition! Because, we have a NEW CAR!!!! Thanks to Jarom's generous parents who decided they didn't need it anymore with the purchase of a new car themselves, we are proud new owners of a Toyota Prius. Which, officially gets 5 times better gas mileage than the 4Runner. Which we have yet to fix. But now we have wheels, so life is easier. Thanks so much guys! And of course, some pictures. It's actually really fun to drive, and weird at the same time. For those of you who have never been in a hybrid car before, it's quite the experience. Your gas engine shuts off a lot. Like, basically whenever you stop pushing the gas petal. Or when you come to a stop at a light or something, your car shuts off and the electric engine takes charge. So, we bought......a CAR!!!!!! YAY!!!!! WE BOUGHT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been about a year now since we've had a working car. My feet have gotten a little tired. It was pretty fast and kind of unexpected, but I think it was worth it. We have casually been looking for awhile, and then we found a 1995 Toyota 4Runner for sale for 1650 that was just a few blocks away from us. We went and looked at it, drove it around, looked at the receipts that totaled around $5000 of replaced parts in the engine a few years ago, and decided to take it for $1500. After examining Blue Book's idea of how much this should cost, we figured it was a good deal, even though it needs new tires. So, no pictures for you right now.
