Friends With Fruitful Talents

Recently we have become aware that we have a few friends who have very special talents when it comes to fruit. They have come up with new ways to open their fruit. Their talents must be shared. The first is with bananas: Here we are attempting this feat. Some of us are more successful than others... And here we have some apple talents. The struggle: The victory: You get the idea. Unfortunately, we don't have any videos of me or Jarom successfully ripping an apple in half, but let it be known that we both have done it, multiple times. If any of you think you can match or outdo any of these amazing talents, show us what you got!

Thanks!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who prayed for Jarom to pass his test this past week. We won't know the official results for about 8 weeks, but as far as we can tell, it looks like he probably passed. So yay!

2nd Anniversary

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention to everyone that last Monday, 5/4 was our second anniversary. YAY for being married! I took the day off work, and we just had a nice relaxing day. Jarom, and pretty much my entire family, felt deprived on the day of our wedding because it just happened to be the same day the Spiderman came out. And I didn't let any of them see it. So, to try and make it up to him, we went and saw the new X-men Wolverine movie this year on our anniversary. He thinks the debt is partially repaid... We also got some Hawaiian food to eat, and Jarom's parents sent us a cruise! Well, sort of. It was actually a 3D cruise ship puzzle, so we spent a few hours putting that together. Haha, thanks for the gift guys! And. That is all.

Indestructable Layering of Stickies

So you know that rumor/myth/true statement that if you combine two phone books together, page by page, with exactly one page on top of the other, that you won't be able to pull it apart? Ever? Not even with a truck because it's just that freakishly strong?!?!? It's true! And, this principle also applies on a much smaller scale: post-it notes. This is something we learned at work today. Here is the creation: And here is proof that we couldn't pull it apart. This is not staged. We were really trying! I dare you to try it.

Dripping Water

Saturday morning I woke up to rain. Both on the outside, as well as the inside of our apartment. How could that be possible you may ask? It was coming from our bathroom ceiling. When I first walked in I heard a water splat onto the toilet seat. My first thought was that our shower was leaking and somehow splattering onto the toilet. Upon further inspection, I determined that the shower was just fine, but the entire toilet and floor were wet. The water was coming right through the ceiling. Not through a vent, or light fixture, just straight through the drywall. This was at 8am. I went upstairs and knocked on the door. My greeting was "Good morning, I was just wondering, is your bathroom flooding?" Turns out at about midnight a hose broke that hooked up to their tank in their toilet, spraying water everywhere. They thought they stopped the leak by turning off the valve. They wiped up all the water with towels and left them their overnight. But my discovery showed that more wat...
