We got back from Wisconsin the day before I had to return to work. So that was the end of summer. But the very next weekend, we went on another one! Granted, a mini one, but we got to go up to Bear Lake for the first time with Jarom's sister and family. We stayed in a cabin and boated all day long. Unfortunately, my lack of reapplying sunscreen partway through the day resulted in the most painful sunburn I have yet to experience. It was only bad on my face and my knees. But, I had a hard time walking there for a few days. My knees were slightly swollen, didn't like to bend, and having anything touch them (you know, like pants, skirts, bedspread, the like) was pretty painful. Luckily I have moved past the raw stage, through the scabby stage, and into the peeling stage. I shaved for the first time this morning, and left the tub coated in dead skin. Gross, I know.
