Last Week's Many Doings with Lots of Family

Last week my sister-in-law was able to come visit with us during her Spring Break. We made sure to pack every minute full of activities, and here are some things we accomplished. We sewed together, for the first time I was able to use both of my sewing machines at the same time. She helped me to make a purse while I helped her to make a skirt! Then we painted our nails. Here is one style I did earlier that I wanted to put on, and then there are our green nails in celebration of Saint Patrick's Day. The week after that we got to spend time with the other sister-in-law as well as mother-in-law who came out to visit. We celebrated mother-in-law's birthday , and then we had a craft activity where we all made scarfs out of t-shirts.   And finally I was able to practice some photography skills with my awesome new camera on this cute family.

The Creamery's Enticings

Yesterday we went to the BYU Men's Volleyball game, as we often do. If you ever watch them on BYU TV, you will probably see us occasionally sitting right behind the servers. This is where we usually sit and this is where we were sitting last night. As usual, last night in between the 2nd and 3rd sets they had the BYU Creamery sponsored blimp come flying around the the audience, occasionally dropping a coupon for, as they advertised, free ice cream from the creamery.  At the same time, there were a few audience members on the court attempting to serve the ball over the net in a semi-straight fashion to hit a target on the other side and win a gift certificate. The blimp veered away from the audience and over the middle of the court, right above these servers, right in front of us. And then it dropped a coupon, who knows if it was on purpose or not.
