Frequently Jarom and I are woken up either late at night or early in the morning due to our neighbor's loud talking and other various activities. Unfortunately, we try to leave the window open to cool down our house, which amplifies the noise that comes into our bedroom. Well, this morning, we were woken up with a very, ummm...special, treat.
At about 7:30, we started hearing weird noises over and over again. It sounded like low airy-grumblingness. Yeah, that's right. It would go for a few seconds, then stop for a few seconds, repeated over and over again. I thought it was some kind of cleaning truck on the street or something. Jarom says, "man, it sounds like they're blowing up a hot-air balloon!" Finally, we decided we wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so we got up. Upon looking out of our window, the reaction went something like this: "WHAT THE?!?!?" Yeah. Turns out Jarom was right on. They were blowing up a hot air balloon in their FRONT YARD. Has anyone ever seen a balloon on the ground? It is bigger than everything. Bigger than they're entire house and yard. I have no idea how they decided to get it there and then successfully get it there and blown up. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of it, so you just have to imagine what this balloon would like like in the front yard of an old house in the middle of college-town Provo.
Ok, so it didn't really look like this one, but I thought this was pretty awesome anyways. Ours was just a normal looking balloon, and everyone already knows what those look like.
