28 and counting

We go on walks for my benefit about every other day. Yesterday we brought a camera with us to see if we could get any good shots. I think these ones turned out pretty well. And by the way, this is 28 weeks for me. ..And I guess for Jarom too, though he hides his weight much better than me.



It's getting harder to lean forward while I'm sitting on the couch now. There's too much junk in the way! And besides one week of back pain, I'm still feeling good. I'm in the home stretch, 3rd trimester already!

Cake 2.0

Here is our second attempt at fondant covered, decorated cake. We're still working on getting things smoother looking and stuff. It's a chocolate cake with caramel filling. Unfortunately the caramel didn't turn out quite like it was supposed to. It turned into basically sugar. It's probably because I was lazy and used margarine instead of butter. But it's still sweet and that's what's important right?

Going Away Present

Tomorrow is going to be my last day of work at good old Independent Study. It's kind of sad, but also kind of exciting and scary all at the same time. It's sad because I've been here for so long. This is the longest I've ever had one job, and I have made a lot of really good friends here. It's exciting because I will get to have a lot of time off to do whatever I want during the day! And it's scary because I don't have another job lined up yet. After 6 months of applying and interviewing, I'm still none the better for it. I was lucky enough to have one co-worker who cared enough about me and my departure to give me a going-away present.
