So I have a funny story. There is this guy at work who had a cheating situation. The student had copied his grade report from our website and pasted it into Word, changed a few grades and added a few that he hasn't even turned in yet. Then gave it to his counselor so he can graduate from summer school (since he already missed regular graduation). It was funny because he did this for two classes. We had them fax his copy to us so we could compare with the original. Before we even got it we knew he had changed it. We don't ever send this document out as verification and proof of grades cuz we know it can be changed so easily. Instead, we send something completely different. Anyway, we got it. One of the classes he did a pretty good job on. But the other one, he gave himself an A+ for one of the lessons (we don't have A+'s). But the best thing was that for two of the dates of completion for 2 different lessons, he put 7/32/08. So apparently there is a 32nd of July now! Yeah, he kinda blew that one! So now he has to go to adult school or something to graduate cuz he's blown both his chances in normal school. Silly students.
This post is to document the journey our outside of our house has been on over the last few years. A lot of these projects I took on this summer, and a few I did earlier. I am so happy with where we are currently at, but still have some plans before it's finished. So, here is what it looked like the day we bought the house. Seven years ago. Don't let the "grass" fool you. It's just weeds. And the ugly brown window trims paired with the ridiculously old glass in the windows and the green brick with maroon grout. Not too pretty. We have since painted the door, trim, and replaced the windows. Also replaced the porch light and house numbers. This spring we also had a new concrete half circle driveway installed. We live on a busy street and our front yard is useless and our driveway is tiny. So now we have much more functionality, less weeds, and overall happiness. After the driveway was installed, I also ripped out the rest of the grass and installed some decorative...
