Here is a brief recap of some of the fun things that filled our 2013.
Started out the year with the knowledge of a brand new pregnancy. Then survived the coldest January I can remember, with the worst inversion yet.
In February we got to finally tell everyone we know about said pregnancy.
Had my sister-in-law come visit over her spring break and tell me she was also pregnant! We sewed cute baby shoes together.
Had sister-in-law and brother come back the next month to visit with our grandparents who stayed with us for a few days before entering the MTC.
Found out a month later that said Grandmother passed away on her mission.
Enjoyed not working during the hottest summer on record, which conveniently aligned with my third trimester, you know, the one that I actually got hotter in.
Of course, had the baby in August. Two days earlier, found out my other sister-in-law was expecting as well! She tried to wait until after he was born to tell, but was in need of her maternity clothes she had lent me. Ha. If only she could have lasted two more days!
Had mom come stay for a month, followed by dad at the end of the month, then overlapped by other side mom and dad all at once and everyone convened for baby's blessing day.
After 5 weeks of life, finally had to figure out what day to day life would be like for our little family.
At 6 weeks of life, I had to return to work. Jarom has been the most awesome dad throughout this, especially when poor baby doesn't want the bottle.
Baby learned to sleep through the night. We learned how to be parents.
Went trick-or-treating for the first time with a child. It was way more fun than I would have imagined.
Spent the beginning of November in Wisconsin for a Decker reunion. So that meant experiencing our first plane rides with baby. Overall....not bad. And everyone loved baby the most.
Spent the end of November in St. George to meet baby's first cousin on the Gray side! Baby also traveled in the car well. All he did was sleep. Can't get easier than that.
Had a nice quiet Christmas at home with local relatives.
Baby forgot how to sleep through the night. (don't worry, halfway through January 2014 baby remembered again)
Overall, best year yet!
I was going to load this up with a picture for each statement, but then I decided that would take too long. So instead, here's just an updated photo of our cutest baby.
