This week we did lots of fun things together, including going to movies, visiting extended family, and sledding! One of our most fun nights was Wednesday night. Was that the night of the storm? I think it was. Anyway, we decided to go watch a movie in the dollar theater, so we all went out and unburied the car and shoveled a way out of the parking lot. We piled in and pulled out onto the road. We were behind a row of cars all stopped at the intersection waiting to get onto State Street. When we looked up at the car in the very front of the row, it was turned sideways and spinning the heck out of it's tires. We promptly noticed how you could not see any pavement, because it was all underneath a solid sheet of ice. After sitting there for awhile, watching this guy fail at getting through the intersection, and watching all the other cars creep as slowly as possible down and up the hill of State Street, we decided that a dollar movie wasn't worth risking getting hit by an out of control car. So my parents pulled back into our parking lot as all us kids hopped out and ran up to the stuck car to push him out. I almost fell just getting out of the car because the roads were so slick.
So we thought we had had a fun little adventure, but then we decided to walk out to the corner of the intersection so we could watch the cars struggling on State. It was actually very amusing. We saw many people get stuck and have to go backwards down the hill. We saw a huge pileup of cars that couldn't get passed each other at the bottom of the hill. We saw a tow truck try and fail to make it's turn onto our street multiple times. We enjoyed ourselves.
Anyways, here are some pictures of our sledding adventures. (Jarom wasn't able to go, that's why there are none of him)

Also, I suppose since it is Jan 1 I should do some type of new year, old year recap type thing. That seems to be the norm. This last year I:
Became a SAC Lady at work instead of a 504 Aid
Went on vacation to visit the parents in Washington
Had both sets of parents come visit us multiple times
Lost 35 pounds
Got sick 4 times in one month (stupid germy students)
Got a new couch
Sold the old couch
Painted, repainted, and repainted again our table and chairs
Learned how to make butterfingers!
Started playing the piano for our ward choir
Gave blood
And got a pet fake fish
All in all, a good year.
